Filming in Hotel Rooms

Post by Jonboy »

Just watched a program about the Adult Industry in Germany. One girl was saying she did a scene with two other girls and five guys; the Director booked a suite and an other room ; and had provided a makeup artist and the filming went ahead. At the end of the shoot , something happened and the hotel became aware of the filming. Security were called and the films and still were witheld. I was appalled the cost of the shoot must have been over 2000 just for fees. Are they allowed to do this

In Germany they may be allowed to confiscate your film, here in the U.K. its called theft.

Often wondered about this, if I booked a girl & took her to a hotel as a 'guest' for the evening would the hotel kick me/us out?

Personally what you do in a hotel room with the exception of murdering someone and setting the room alight is your own business. Lets face it, isnt that what they were made for? Hence the saying "Get a room!"

Unless you get the hotel logo blatantly in view then I think there could be legal repercussions but lets face it, I've used hotel rooms so much that the manager was a friend of a friend who informed me that he knew what I was doing there and offered me the room free of charge if he could come in and watch. Not to mention it was blatantly obvious that I book the room under One Eyed Jack Productions...DOH!

Unfortunately I dont offer peep shows so I never took advantage of his offer. Though I did for a girly shoot with Alicia Rhodes and Keira for Clitty Slickers. The same manager got another manager to get me a room in The Marriot. Lets face it, they're clued up to wahts going on.

I would rather shoot my scenes on the high street in the back of cars but I hear thats illegal these days.

OEJ, I know it's been repeated ad nauseum, but that UK Amateurs From..... scene with you and Sara was in the back seat of an MPV I believe, and I still crack up remembering the panic on Sara's face when she realised the Ole' Bill were just round the corner!

And then, all the way back to the flat, you filmed her in every state of undress possible, followed by a quickie against the wall and in the stairwell too.

Unforgettable porn!

The hotel room technically becomes a "place of work", which means that some rules will still apply, e.g. from 1st July, smoking will not be permitted!!!

You can shoot in a pub with all the patrons watching if you have permission from the pub owner. You can shoot in a garden as long as a neighbours window cannot be seen anywhere as this would be construed that anyone could have seen that was going on therefore constituing a crime of public indecency.

There are many clever ways to do things outdoors legally but getting permission is the main thing.
