Like i said...Brit Porn is what it is and will remain to be so for a long time to come..Having said that there are a whole load of americans that rail on about american porn and lets compare it if we have to, in the grand scheme of things world wide production of porn has amassed more crap than good simply because a majority of the people producing havent really got a clue about what they are doing from shooting, to editing, to make up to everything right down the line to performers who don't know what iti s to be or feel sexy, so the problem isnt symptomatic of Britporn really...its just symptomatic of a majority of porn full stop...

I don't know you personally but I'm assuming you have a wealth of experience in this biz and prefer the more "Glossy" style in which case I would strongly advise you to chance your luck over in Europe instead as I reckon the business over there is more up your street and there's more going on for a start.

If I may I'd like to throw something else into the equation and something perhaps controversial but I think it's a valid point. Another factor I feel works against the Dave Wells' and OEJs is the plethora of halfwits out there producing "Stuff" purely for their own seedy pleasure with no regard to financial reward or actually making something of any value. Wether their output be crap stills, crap video or yet another crap website it's still out there in the marketplace. Of course this problem won't go away as the adult business will attract these types until the end of time, those not content (Let's cut to the chase here) to sit home and whack off but who have to get involved at first hand.
It's an element of competition perhaps unique to the adult business. A plumber, for example, competes against other plumbers in his (Or HERS for the benefit of the politically correct types) area but not a load of plumbing geeks who will fix your boiler for free because they are really into boilers, or copper tube, or ball-cocks. Likewise there are no hobbyist opticians, or weekend brain surgeons. Factor in competition from sources who have zero regard for profit into any business scenario and the results will be prices being driven down and an increasing large amount of product available to the consumer.
A cruel comment perhaps but fair.
