Quite an interesting piece, though it did seem to be a bit "shock horror, all female porn stars aren't idiots who are being forced against their will to do stuff". Which everyone knows anyway.

Of course, Michelle is quite right when she says she wouldn't want her children knowing about certain aspects of her career, I mean can you imagine finding out your mum once toured with Bobby Davro?

Hmmmmmmmmm.

A couple of sentences from the piece which struck me as, shall we say, as not entirely true.

"She is one of the best-known faces in the British porn industry and one of the top actresses. She only performs alone or with other women."

"She has turned down numerous offers to take part in "boy-girl" porn films."

"Miss Thorne lives with her boyfriend Jason and has appeared with him in a couple of magazines but refuses to have sex on camera with male stars."

Well I've got "Secret Garden Sex" where she definately isn't just working only " alone or with other girls".

This would appear to cast doubt on the first and third quote.

As for the second, she may well have turned down "numerous" offers to do boy/ girl work, but obviously not all.

She might have worked with her own partner, the same as a few other girls in the industry

All those sentences were carefully written in the present tense.

Granted.
I wasn't trying to provoke an argument. I was just slightly disappointed that on such a widely read media, she chose to say some things that are so easily found to be , at best, misleading.

Please dont get me wrong, in my opinion she is free to say what she wants to say, and do what she chooses to do.

It's just with so many detractors of the industry who will read the same article, it just gives them more ammunition to paint the whole industry as "liars ,cheats, exploiters...etc." as they are prone to do.
