I thought Ofcom were issuing a report on relaxing the restrictions currently in place regarding the strength of adult programming on subscription channels. Anyone know what it said? Are we getting hardcore? Are we? Are we?

Like everyone else, you'll need to keep an eye on

If you replied to the consultation, you may get a reply - if not, see Ofcom's site or the front page of the Daily Mail, depending on the result.

I suspect OFCOM won't report until June and that may not be a bad thing.

We've waited long enough - another few months won't hurt, in my view.

Fingers crossed.

Who cares, IPTV will be launched before they make their mind up on anything BT started selling IPTV channels this week at ?90,000 a year. Nice one seing as no-one knows about it yet, look at for more info.
Hopefully not an advert as I am not selling anything just helping with the details of it. We have got a demo running right now so I can let proffesionals have a sneak look if they mail me,

ANYTHING connected with any form of legislation takes an eternity, as we all know.
However, bring the dreaded "SEX" word into the equation and you have so many conflicting party interests that it can take yonks.
Ofcom are a very well intentioned body - bur have the political clout of a snail.

See they want to proscribe the sat channel Extasi

What a bunch of tosspots - citing violence and protection of children (red herring) The nanny state strikes again, whose country do they think it is anyway?

The violence on the channel is face slapping / choking / s&m / scat - all perfectly legal in the licensed country. I've watched lots of it and never seen anything morally corrupting. And what parent is going to say "here son, I've got you a card for some pervy sex".

They know a ban won't work because the channel can change it's name to evade it and anyone can order a card from Holland.

Nice to have a bunch of namby pamby arseholes running the country. Are French or Italian children already too corrupted to make their governments think of a banning order?

Looks to me like he's be shocked by a fucking pint of milk :)

Extasi TV have just changed their name to Xtasi TV - oops the proscription order issued by rhe wankers at Ofcom or wherever is no longer valid. Back to square one for them and cards can be sold as normal.
