Maybe you ought to talk about it in more detail. The repetition of 'I think' suggests there's a fair amount of assumption/ supposition on your part. Also, you can't pay too much attention to the experience of your friends - they're not you.
If your bf is prone to jealousy then it might not be a good idea. If he isn't then he could still react in a way that surprises you both and complicates things. As I said, best to talk about it honestly and think yourself into that situation.
