Locations

Hi guys and girls, I am desperately looking for and failing miserably to find locations to shoot primarily photo shoots for mags but maybe video as well in THE NORTH WEST OF ENGLAND or to be precise - Manchester. It is fuckin useless up here trying to find places any good to shoot good stuff in big houses, apartments, barns, gyms, garages, boats etc,etc even a good studio might be a start. CAN ANYBODY HELP !!!!

Staggered that nobody can help, let's extend it to include North East (Leeds etc) and Brum and Notts - any takers ??

This is frightening though. Someone connected with this forum could/should start an agency for locations. They'd be involved in the biz and make money.

Got a studio in Grimsby.
Thinking of giving it up.
Its falling around our ears.
Thought it would be good but no-one wants to use it.
Has rooms to accomidate whatever.
Time to close it unless we get some work for it

they dont seem to have this problem in the states.in places like L.A loads of ordinary people hire thier houses out for a venue for a porn shoot just so they have something to get thier rocks off to later.are we British too reserved?

Thanks for the input lads. I agree it is set up superbly well in LA with quite a few location agencies. It's the amatuerness of the UK coming out here. It would be a great thing if somebody started an agency and I don't think you would have too many people going behind your back so long as you and the location owners are sensible about pricing them. Keep me top of the list please.
In the past I have hired places like Longleat house, Clandon, Clivedon, Ragley Hall, Stone School. Crikey loads of places (these would all be to expensive now). But hey there are some gems to be found out there !
