Re: Who Contacted Who?

id have some respect for it if you just said "i did it for the money and dont care baout their jobs/marriages/careers/pensions/kids/etc". if i was a vicar i would support 'exposing' such activities, its because i am liberal minded that i find it sad when people find themselves ruined for doing no harm to anyone. what if the guys lose their incomes and wives, homes, kids as a result and commit suicide, which is not so unlikely. will you still fell good about the few quid you made? the real reason i was so saddened by the article i that i ejoy marino's scenes so much because he seemed liek such a laid back, easy-going, fun guy - totally harmless, and my illusion has been shattered. also, the lack of people empathising with my point of view is surprising. what would we say if a girl was eposed as being in a ben dover film and lost her livelihood? we'd hardly be saying "i don't care" or "she knew what she was doing" would we. i think i have a point - no need to slag it off...

"I wish papers weren't allowed to pay for these kind of stories..."

They wouldn't be able to afford them if four million people didn't buy the News of the Screws every Sunday.

This kind of ranting against the tabloid press was perhaps best summed up by Private Eye's 'Media to Blame' front cover after Princess Diana was killed.

Whilst I've asked a valid question (well I think it was), let's not turn that question into a slanging match.

If these two policemen are genuine & were on duty, they should not have been tempted to turn a blind eye in return for sex. It questions there integrity as policemen and could also mean they have let other things do in return for a kick back.

Personally, I don't like "kiss / tell" but can see why a producer / distributor might think it will shift more product.

However, I'm wondering whether the NotW search the net for porn related stories or do people go to them??

Illinois,

Point taken.

And that Private Eye edition was classic - even got banned from Smiths for telling the truth about newspaper hypocracy.

Did they come quietly?

Well done, Marino. I wonder if this could develop into some sort of insane contest amongst producers, each trying to out-do one another with bigger scoops? God, I hope so!
