Are videoangels still in business , i know that there were a few posts a while ago which explained that they had problems with a break in. However some time has now passed and I have not recieved my copy of Celebrity Shags 8 , Likewise I have emailed them several times about other videos I would like to purchase from them but have had no replies. I would like to think all is well with them and that they can be trusted with orders , but recent events are giving me serious doubts.

HCC (Hard core cafe) are the one's you want to chase up mate if you haven't recieved your Celebrity shags vid, as they had a break in (which has been well documented in earlier posts) but I have had my order fullfilled from them as have many others according to posts, just keep trying mate is your best bet, I placed an order and it took some months to arrive, although it wasnt a Celebrity shags video, maybe they are still having trouble with that particular title, anyone else know?

HCC/Angels/Dibsy did eventually get all my stuff to me: while I sympathise with their plight (if true), I'm not prepared to go through all those months of e-mailing and hassle ever again, while the money I've paid up-front quietly gathers interest for the seller rather than me.
It's a bloody shame, because I would have happily bought up most of the Angels list: there are some excellent titles there: assuming you could actually get hold of them, of course...........

Call me cynical, but personally I would never send money off for porno in the post. Some of the suppliers seem to be fine (unless the complimentary posts on this forum are spam) , but some of the people running these ventures, you wouldnt necessarily introduce to your Gran.
For the amount of hassle it seems to cause, isnt it better to save up and spend your hard earned dosh with a trip to London, Amsterdam etc. etc. where you can get your porno in your hand for a reasonable price?
Sympathy to the above for the hassle they are going thru.

imo, you are being unduly cynical. the vast majority of orders are completed, and the savings to be made vis-a-vis shop-based outfits are often substantial. if it were otherwise, this forum would be inundated with posts letting the rest of the world know about it. the amount of noise generated hereabouts by the disgruntled customers of angelvideos is testament enough to that supposition (for those not in the know, this company had it's operation cleaned out by thieves and has been struggling to meet it's obligations - sometimes successfully, sometimes not - ever since).

before forum registration was introduced, which has made managing these things a lot easier, we were assiduous in weeding out any bogus 'customer' posts made by retailers. these wide boy activities were indulged in by a small minority of idiots and it usually resulted in their being banned from posting here altogether.

the reviews element of the links section was set up by us to help first time buyers make an informed judgement as to who to trust their hard earned shekels with. the more forumites submit details of their experiences with various online retailers to this section, the more effective it will become as a resource. why waste money on travelling to london or amsterdam when you could be spending it on the goods you want?

I made some orders a while back and understand the problem about the breakin which is why the orders have been delayed, I do hope that I do get to see my order even if its sent soon or next year. As for buying stuff from London & Amsterdam...Shops in these cities do not sell VideoAngels stuff...If it was that easy then yeh I would, sure you can buy other porn but finding titles by Videoangels for a collector can only be bought from the website. Certain titles can only be bought from the website.
Well I'll continue waiting...........

This is fair comment: my experience is fairly wide, and most retailers are simply and honestly trying to make a buck (irrespective of location or method of trading: it could harldy be otherwise nowadays !!), and the majority will bend over backwards to accommodate a dissatisfied punter. Whether that's for sound commercial reasons, or because they can now be sure word will get around about bad service, I don't know- what the Hell, it works.
Nevertheless, there are/were a few outfits around that still have the Bad Old Days mindset of the erly 90s and before: if you don't see ANY comments in the Links page, that's often a reasonable indicator that people have thought 'if I can't say anything good, I won't say anything' (but equally there may just have been no-one who has done a customer review, so it often pays to address a direct q to the board). I myself am reluctant to post a bad review, not on the grounds of cowardice, but because it is at least possible that my experience is whollly atypical (although that restiction does not apply where several comments, whether negative or positive, have been made) and because to a lesser extent I simply don't like the idea of putting a guy on the financial ropes- although I will make snotty and sarky remarks on the Forum in such cases, in the hope that w word to the wise, etc........

Seems rather pointless marcus. I've contacted "angela" at videoangels numerous times who assures me they "never rip anyone off" and then still never sends anything.

I've given up on ever getting anything. I just hope no-one else trusts these bastards with their money.
