Re: There May Be Trouble Ahead [For Cameron]
There will be a lot of trouble ahead for Cameron, not from the far left, but because he's just a slick public relations man with nothing to offer but meaningless slogans about 'hard-working families' and 'British values' whatever they are. In fact Britain itself is rapidly falling apart under his ...

Edwina Currie
If you have any dealings with Edwina Currie, you soon find out she's not as bad as she seems. She's even worse. A narcissistic unpleasant person to say the least.

Re: David Icke is he for real or a conman?
Some years ago I went to hear him speak. Boy, he goes on for longer than Ken Dodd - well over three and a half hours in this case. I thought the lizard thing might have been dreamt up to discredit him. But no he came out and said the Royal Family and Ted Heath were lizards and had taken part in ...

Re: Did Tony Blair REALLY have a choice over Iraq?
Of course American politicians play up to the 'Special Relationship' bit, hardly surprising when a succession of British PM's first act has been to jet over to Washington, earnestly seeking assurance that we're still Uncle Sam's best friend. Their actions often prove different. When Eisenhower ...

Re: Some Photos From Todays Porn Protest
I think this campaign is very encouraging, and hope many more will support it. I was a member of the late David Webb's N.C.R.O.P.A years ago. Censorship is a problem that never goes away here, sadly neither does the apathy and complacency of many who are its targets.

Re: Tony Benn is dead
I did not agree with several of Tony Benn's views but he was one of the very few politicians I've had any time for. He was motivated above all to fight for those he saw as oppressed and never compromised his beliefs. He consistently opposed Britain's membership of the EU, not because he was a little ...

Re: Stuart Hall,sentence doubled.
I'm not saying Hall's crimes are "irrelevant" because they happened a long time ago, or that he should not have been charged with them. I do think his sentence, considering he's now a geriatric, reflects the hysteria of the times while the increase contains an element of pandering to the mob and ...

Re: Stuart Hall,sentence doubled.
I'm sure a certain type of person will get some vindictive pleasure from this, but it's not necessarily justice. I can't see what benefit this can be to Hall's victims so long ago either.

Re: Hidden dangers in Cameron`s anti porn crusade
The fact is that Dave knows he can't lose, at least in the short term, by promoting this idea. He's desperate for a bit of cred with The Mail and his own Right, who widely regard him as a closet liberal over his support for Gay Marriage and in the former's case for betraying them with the Leveson ...
