Re: nuclear power
Much of Sweden and Finland is powered by nuclear power and you don't hear about safety problems, do you? Maybe the Scandinavians got it right, who knows.
If done properly, nuclear might be a good alternative.
It does not HAVE to be Chernobyl, you know.

Re: Americans use 50% of petrol!
Yes, In know....your hatred for me and everything American is still strong. Sorry, but I was reading there threads and could not believe the stereotypes, half-truths and "common wisdom" that was being bantered about and since I live here and work in ground zero for the petrochemical industry, I had ...

Re: Americans use 50% of petrol!
China and India are due to out-pollute the USA in the next 5-10 years, according to the environmental experts. Apparently, not everyone in China is on a bicycle. As I said...America was spread out LONG BEFORE the automobile came along. Really, now, I don't want to live all piled on top of one ...

Alot of this recycling...while it has good intentions (so did communism), actually might cost more than burning or burying the stuff. Has there been any study into the energy exhausted to gather and melt down the glass and plastic that is to be recycled? It may pan out that it takes more energy to ...

Re: Americans use 50% of petrol!
Long time since I posted here, but a favorite Irish-American is back. Ugh...another lets bash the Yanks thread...yawn. You guys never tire of this...do you? Yes, Americans are addicted to cars and oil...I am not going to argue that. But the source of the blame is many-fold.... First, America is MUCH ...

Run a tape of every inaguration...Clintons...Bush Sr.'s ...whoever...they all sound the same. Re: Gee Mr. Moore, I thought you did not like guns
Funny how I get slammed for turning things into a Clinton bash, but you guys can turn anything into a Bush bash. Whatever. I haven't watched a minute if those festivities and actually am appalled at the monies being spent on such a wing-ding in these times. See...when you get down to it, Bush is not ...

Gee Mr. Moore, I thought you did not like guns
From Fox News website (but its other news sources as well) NEW YORK ? Re: brazilian?
I am sure you've seen it....its everywhere.
I don't necessarily want a return to a 1970s bush, but maybe somewhere between the Brazillian and the 70s bush...would that be asking too much, girls?
