Nur is a corrupt and masochistic bourgeois woman. One day, bored with her husband's advances for anal sex, she goes swimming but she is caught by a sudden storm. Lying unconscious on the beach, she's found by a poor fisherman named Metin who takes her to the cabin where he lives with his father and aunt, to discover that she's going through a state of amnesia. After an attempted rape aborted by Metin's intervention, Osman judges that the girl isn't safe at the desolate place. Metin takes her to the town to stay at his friend Murat's house. He identifies her as the daughter of a renowned industrialist. Nur returns to her former life but having found true love and peace in Metin's arms, she soon reunites with her lover. The title is from the eponymous song by Sezen Aksu.
